Privileges and Procedures are considering adding a debate between candidates to the speech and questions that were used to pick Jersey’s first Chief Minister at the end of last year.
Under the plans they are considering, candidates would make a speech, individually answer questions from States Members, then have an open period of questions, answers and rebuttals before the secret ballot to decide the winner is made.
