Cash offer to employ students

The Jersey Undergraduate Internship Initiative is being funded by Economic Development, who will pay students £125 a week to work for small local businesses -employing up to 20 staff – during the summer holidays.

Economic Development Minister Philip Ozouf said: ‘When I was a student I was forced to work over three summers – not in Jersey but in other places – and I learned a lot about those organisations.

Businesses in the Island are struggling to find resources, so why not do something similar here?’
