Welcome ashore for Island’s new Lieut-Governor

Lieutenant-General Andrew Ridgway – who is due to be sworn in as Lieut-Governor on 14 June – and his wife Valerie will be greeted by the Bailiff, Sir Philip Bailhache, and Chief Minister Frank Walker and a number of other local dignitaries at 4 pm today.

The general will inspect the guard of honour, provided by the Jersey Sea Cadets, on the quayside before making his way to his new home at Government House.
