States tenants given training

Many States tenants have formed their own associations in a bid to clean up estates, improve their standard of life and build a community spirit.

People with no previous experience have become chairmen, secretaries and treasurers of committees, but until now they have been given no training.

However, for the first time Housing have paid for tenants from various estates – Jardins du Soleil at First Tower, Oak Tree Gardens on Trinity Hill, Clos Gosset in St Saviour, Le Squez and Grands Vaux – to complete a course teaching them the skills they need to run their associations efficiently.
