The preliminary results confirm that the firm has already entered into a contract for the sale of its Channel Island business to Ferryspeed (CI).
This is currently awaiting approval by the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority and is expected to be announced by the end of this month.
Dart chairman Philip Meeson says that the Channel Island part of the business is ‘no longer seen as core’ and that the disposal will free up management time and resources to concentrate on developing the UK distribution operations.
The firm intends to relocate the majority of its operational infrastructure from Bourne-mouth to the main aircraft operating base at Leeds Bradford, with around one-third of the staff moving with the company.
