On Wednesday, former Army driving instructor Marcus Stephenson offered the Transport and Technical Services Minister the chance to put his driving skills where his mouth is and take a test.
Earlier in the week Mr Stephenson had been outraged by Deputy de Faye’s comments, who blamed poor drivers in the Island for a three-month waiting list for driving tests.
Deputy de Faye said that he would not be participating.
‘No, I shall not be taking up his offer.
I think there’s a risk he might be a little one-sided.’
