ATHLETICS Win for CI men The Channel Islands men’s Southern Athletics Division II League team beat off strong opposition yesterday at the meet in Walton on Thames to win with a score of 136 points.
Newbury finished second with a 108.
GOLF Les Mielles sevens-up Les Mielles GC won the Channel Islands final of the Hampshire Sevens competition at L’Ancresse GC yesterday.
Level at 3-3, Les Mielles’ Julio Moniz birdied the extra hole for victory.
