Boyes Conning Freight Services, a member of the Palletways distribution business which claims to be the biggest freight network in Europe, started working in and out of Jersey and Guernsey last Friday.
Boyes Conning is based at Hedge End, between Southampton and Portsmouth.
It says it has seen a 20% growth in its business in the past year and has taken on 14 new staff, including 11 drivers, and invested in 11 new vehicles – bringing its fleet to 30.
It is the first Palletways member to service the Channel Islands.
Palletways, which was founded in 1994, is now the established market leader in overnight distribution of small consignments of palletised freight.
The hub of its national network is in Lichfield, Staffordshire.
