Emily (19) and Josh (18) Gledhill, their dad Roy and his wife Saide were supposed to have returned home from a holiday last Monday.
But Abigail Gledhill said that she had heard nothing in more than a week and was beside herself with worry.
‘All I know is that they’re supposed to be somewhere in the mountains.
Today (Friday) I just broke down at work and I had to come home.
We have two churches praying for us all.
You become a news addict and can’t leave the house in case the phone goes.
It is terrible,’ she said.
The youngsters travelled to Lebanon with father Roy – a teacher who gives private tuition in physics and mathematics – to visit the family of stepmother Saide for what was supposed to be a three-week holiday.
‘Josh phoned when hostilities first broke out to say that they were OK, but they were supposed to be home last Monday and I have heard nothing,’ said Mrs Gledhill from her St Lawrence home.
STOP PRESS: This morning Mrs Gledhill heard that the children were safe and well.
Full details on Monday.
