Comsure’s Mathew Beale said: ‘This is a major new asset for the industry because it assists in intercepting money launderers and their criminal clients before they are able to begin a business relationship with a financial institution which, on the surface, might appear quite legitimate.
Mr Beale also explained that Passport-Check would be an important tool in the fight against terrorism.
David Leppan, World-Check’s founder and chief executive officer, said that the new application will not only improve verification standards but also reduce the cost of doing so.
