Resident Sarah Blackmore reported last week how she had bought the little pool at a charity car boot sale for the children to use in the summer.
After just a week, however, they were devastated to find that vandals had torn huge rents in the plastic and made the pool unusable.
The owner of Florida Pools, Gary Hotton, said that they had been so moved by the story that they wanted to do something to help.
So they have donated an even bigger and better paddling pool.
Mr Hotton said: ‘We read the article in the JEP on Thursday night and we saw that Mrs Blackmore had bought the pool as part of a wider effort to smarten up the area and get the community involved.
She had really gone out of her way, and all she got was a slap in the face.
It was a bit emotional when we dropped the pool down, but we are just glad that we could help.’ After seeing their new attraction, the residents have been overwhelmed by the company’s generosity.
