Jodie, a former Celebrity Big Brother contestant, was booed and abused by parts of the day-time audience on Thursday, but said last night’s crowd of several thousand people made her feel at home.
‘It has been really good today, everyone has said sorry for the people that were horrible yesterday,’ she said.
‘Everyone I spoke to said they were sorry about the people that gave me stick – they said Jersey is a bit old-fashioned, but that they were pleased to have me here.’ Asked whether she would come back to the Island after saying yesterday the abuse of some parts of the crowd had put her off Jersey for good, Jodie said: ‘Definitely.
So many people have made an effort to come up to me and say sorry about whoever was rude and please take no notice.
By the time you have heard 100 people say that, it absolutely kills everything people said yesterday.
I would come back.
Tonight has definitely changed that because so many people have been so nice and made an effort.’
