Mrs Blampied, one of eight winners of the award, fought off competition from 80 other entries from around Britain.
It is the first time she has won the award, which is aimed at designers driving contemporary jewellery forward in style and craft.
Mrs Blampied submitted two designs to the competition, a whirlwind ring and tranquillity pendant, and was unique among the winners in that the judges could not decide between her two entries.
So they gave her the award for both.
‘This is a fiercely contested competition and one which is highly respected within the jewellery industry, so I am delighted to have won,’ said Mrs Blampied, who has been designing for 15 years.
