The Fire Service said that two of those that escaped were lucky to be alive.
They awoke to hear the terrifying sounds of an intense fire and found themselves trapped on the first floor.
The pair had to climb out of a first-floor window and down through a window on the floor below to get to the front door and safety.
Multiple 999 calls were received by the police and the Fire Service just before 3 am.
They responded with three fire appliances and an aerial platform, arriving to find flames leaping out of a first-floor window and a van in a carport below a first-floor bedroom well alight.
