Price of gas rises by five per cent

Jersey Gas and Kosangas, who manufacture bottled gas, have announced that the recent price increase is necessary because of ‘increased operational costs’ and high energy prices worldwide.

A 2.5% increase will affect all metered tariffs, standing chargers and bulk and cylinder prices.

The company have also levied a 2.7% increase which will ‘reflect the high cost of energy worldwide’ – customers can therefore expect to pay between 4.34% and 5.34%.
