Trust firm jobs may go

Managing director Phil Austin said that the company would be shedding some of its smaller private clients after a review of the business, and that some of the staff would also go.

Mr Austin moved to the company in May after five years as chief executive of Jersey Finance Ltd.

He said that he had been working with staff to conduct the review and that they backed the proposal to cut some smaller clients from their books, based on the twin criteria of risk and profitability.
