Ministers responsible for tourism and planning say the organisers will be pushing at an open door if they want to try and increase the numbers who can attend.
Assistant Economic Development Minister Alan Maclean said Jersey Tourism will support a bigger event as long as all the necessary safety and infrastucture criteria are met.
‘We didn’t want it to grow too quickly but this year has proved that an even bigger event can be staged next year if that is what is required,’ he said.
Deputy Maclean hailed Jersey Live as a great success.
‘We hope it will go from strength to strength.
I was delighted to hear it was such a success and relieved to learn the weather was not as bad as had been forecasted,’ he said.
