Tania Arnold and Gary Duncan’s perfect day was topped by glorious sunshine and a unique ceremony in the grounds of Le Rocher Farm, which belongs to Tania’s family.

The mother of the bride, Elizabeth Marks, said: ‘There has never been a wedding here before but having both the ceremony and the reception here was something Tania and Gary really wanted to do.

They thought it was a really nice idea to get married at home, and Tania has always loved horses, since she was very young, so she liked the idea of being surrounded by the horses and the dogs as well as her family and friends.’ Mrs Marks said that they applied for a licence in February, and they were finally granted the privilege with the approval of St Lawrence Constable Geoffrey Fisher on the condition that the marquee they planned to erect was attached to the building.

Gary, who is originally from Scotland, wore the traditional kilt attire, and Tania was attended by five bridesmaids and two page boys.
