Members reconvened today to continue debating £516m of spending plans.

The departmental budgets and action plans of the Chief Minister’s Department, Economic Development, Education, Health and Home Affairs departments were all approved by Members in the first sitting after the two-month summer recess.

Housing Minister Terry Le Main was the first to speak this morning and told the Assembly that his department would proceed with security of tenure legislation and the trimming of States rental stock in the coming year.

The Senator added he was also considering a common policy on all housing trusts over slight worries about the actions of one or two trusts.
