The Menu de Terroir 2006 – the event is now in its third year – is organised by the Genuine Jersey Products Association, in association with Victor Hugo Wines and Laurent-Perrier champagne, and aims to recognise individual skill, creativity and use of local produce.
The Garden Restaurant came top in the restaurant and hotel category, with The Olive Branch in Colomberie named as café and brasserie category winner.
Leading UK chef and judge John Benson-Smith praised the entrants for their excellent ability to combine local ingredients with plenty of imagination to come up with the winning menus.
