The Channel Islands champions are on their best run ever in the competition and they face Lee-on-Solent in the morning with the winners playing in the final, in the afternoon, against Romsey or Shanklin and Sandown.
Les Mielles playing captain Simon Allchin said: ‘We are stepping into the unknown but I’m confident that we can give a good account of ourselves.
Our team spirit is exemplary and everyone looks in good nick.
Consistent ‘The team have been practicing hard and everyone has been consistent by shooting under their handicaps over the past month.
‘We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this year and we’re hoping for a bit of luck to progress and, hopefully, retain the title for the Island following Royal Jersey’s success last year.’ Les Mielles, who travel on Thursday and hope to have two practice rounds on Friday and one on Saturday afternoon, are being represented by Simon Allchin, Paul Horgan, Jason Quénault, Shane Fitzsimons, Julio Moniz, Alan Porter and Karl Fitzpatrick.
Reserves are John Leonard and Chris Rayner.
