Party time for bosses

And one woman in Jersey has decided to make it just that.

Zoe Bisson has launched a new business based entirely around the fact that people can get bogged down in organising corporate events, leaving them little time to do their actual job.

She has set up An Event to specialise in the planning and execution of corporate events and private celebrations and hopes to get most of her business through the company website, www.

Five years ago Mrs Bisson moved to Jersey from London, where she had worked as a personal assistant at Metro and London Underground.

She found herself organising everything from Christmas parties to team bowling events and a booze cruise and said she really enjoyed it.

It was this that gave her the incentive to consider turning it into a job today.

‘I wanted to do something that I enjoy and came up with this route,’ she said.

‘My idea is for the corporate side of event organising.

We will do spa days, golf days, team building, conferences and parties.

If a company wants something, rather than asking their personal assistants to organise it, they can focus on their business while we do the work.

We can deal with everyone’s queries, saving stress, time and worry.

The company is not just aimed at Islanders, but is also being developed with office workers from the UK and Europe in mind.

Mrs Bisson is working with her partner, Linda Lock, who is the company’s international consultant and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and French.

She said they hoped to attract companies to hold away days in the Island and to use her company to organise it.
