It’s ‘business as usual’ despite talk of buyout

Global banking giant Morgan Stanley is looking for a buyer for its UK wealth management arm, for an asking price of £210 million.

Tim Childe, head of the Jersey branch, who also sits on the main board, said it was ‘very much a case of business as usual’.

He said head office had instructed all staff to refer inquiries on and to provide no further information.

A head office spokesman declined to comment.

Morgan Stanley Quilter currently boasts £5.

billion funds under management and employs over 300 staff based in London and nine branches around the UK, in addition to the offices in Channel Islands and Ireland.
