The Island’s premier industry is also a ‘silver sponsor’ of the Asia conference organised by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), which began in Hong Kong yesterday and continues today.
The delegation is headed by Pierre Horsfall, chairman of Jersey Finance.
On Monday they will be hosting a lunch presentation in Hong Kong, before going on to Shanghai.
‘The purpose of the visit is to outline the breadth and depth of business opportunities that Jersey can offer international investors and to foster influential business contacts,’ said Mr Horsfall.
‘Of course, significant business is already undertaken between Jersey and Asia, not least in Hong Kong, but we believe there is potential for much more and we aim to highlight the growth in some of the specialist services that the Island offers international investors.
