Around 30 visiting vehicles will be competing against the Jersey contingent, all having come through successful scrutineering held last night at the Connex bus depot.
A feast of entertainment for motorsport fans is again expected as the crews will be tested to the full as they navigate narrow lanes and tight corners that the Island has to offer.
Just under 100 miles will be negotiated today and tomorrow, stages this afternoon are in Trinity and St John and this evening at St Lawrence and around the Pier Road, Mont Bingham and Havres des Pas area.
Mike Fleming, who is navigating his son, Daniel (18), said: ‘Scrutineering went exceeding well as far as I understand, this morning there was a lot of hanging around doing the final paperwork.
‘I last competed 13 years ago as a driver, Daniel is driving this time; he is very excited and my plan is to keep him on the black stuff all the way round.’
