New president at Junior Chamber

The Chamber is part of Junior Chamber International, a global leadership development network for people in their 20s and 30s.

The organisation has more than 250,000 members in 123 countries.

Mr Nixon (33) was born in Dublin and was educated at Sandford Park School.

He has completed the British Computer Society Professional Graduate Diploma and holds a BSc Honours degree in professional computer studies.

‘In this very challenging time for young management in Jersey, I feel it is a great honour that I am being allowed the opportunity to lead the Junior Chamber through the next 12 months,’ said Mr Nixon.

‘In addition to learning from the training seminars and programmes, I am keen that our members get the opportunity to advance their careers.

The Jersey Junior Chamber is a service organisation for people between 18 and 40.

It is primarily an individual development organisation which offers the opportunity for young people to develop confidence and skills in a social environment.
