The NatWest Jersey Bobsleigh Team, consisting of four enthusiastic novices, was inspired by the Lieut-Governor’s vision of a future Olympic team.
John Hamilton, Carole Pallot, Will Golder and Jamie Miller all signed up in September for the week-long course in bobsleigh.
Depending on how the four get on in Canada, they could enter the novice championships and the British championships over the coming winter.
The Lieut-Governor, Lieutenant-General Andrew Ridgway, came up with the idea of creating a Jersey bobsleigh team in August.
