Starting their special series next Monday, the weekly consumer column will first be looking into the cost of coal, then domestic heating oil, and finally electricity and gas.
Over the past month, readers have been contacting Fair Play complaining about the rise in cost of fuels.
Some have even said they cannot afford it, while others have reported only being able to afford to heat one or two rooms in the house.
According to the States Statistics Unit, Jersey is very sensitive to fluctuating oil costs around the world and Fair Play wants to collect as much information as possible from readers to see how vulnerable the Island actually is and how this affects the day-to-day lives of Islanders.
