The Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority (JCRA) has issued what is termed an ‘initial notice’ under the Telecommunications (Jersey) Law 2002 to the States-owned telecom business.
In a Jersey Gazette notice published in today’s JEP, the JCRA outlines five instances where Jersey Telecom has not given sufficient notice to the regulator of its intention to cut prices and introduce special deals and offers to customers.
These included offering 750 free tickets to the Jersey Live concert to people who signed up for mobile phone contracts.
