Mr Thorne (32), who is head of CI Traders’ manufacturing and distribution division, Cimandis, completed an MSc in marketing with the University of Glamorgan earlier this year and gained a distinction, with one of the highest marks ever attained for the dissertation module.
Now a section of the 20,000-word dissertation has been published by the International Conference of the Book (ICB) in Boston – a forum for some of the world’s leading thinkers in the world of communications, technology and research.
The section concentrates on the internet and how membership of online communities influences the buying decisions of its members.
It includes a paper on post-modern consumers and how marketing theory is changing.
