Owner Phyllis Pallot said that the salon was the first in the Island to offer the Kerastase thermo-activated reconstructive treatment.
‘It’s like a facial, but for hair,’ she explained.
‘The treatment takes up to two hours, including a shampoo and towel dry, and then two different lotions are applied and locked in by heat using a straightening iron.
Portside, which was opened four years ago, is a true family-run business, as Phyllis’s two daughters, Emma and Lauren, are also stylists there and husband David lends a hand on the maintenance side.
