GOLF: Kenny Mitchel won the Demi Golf Society’s Beach Trophy, played at St Clement’s GC on Saturday with a nett 57 off his six handicap, two clear of second placed Toni Rowles, off 14.
BADMINTON: Jersey’s top juniors won six titles in the Guernsey Junior Open over the weekend, with Tom Gibbs (16) claiming three, Brett Coombs-Goodfellow two and James Le Moignan one.
Gibbs and partner Ben Watson retained their U17 boys’ doubles and won the U17 and U19 mixed with Welsh partner Hannah Stephenson.
Coombs-Goodfellow and Richard Streets claimed the U13 boys’ doubles and Coombs-Goodfellow also took the U13 mixed with Guernsey’s Beth Priest.
Le Moignan retained his U17 singles title.

BADMINTON: Jersey’s Mariana Agathangelou and partner Gabby White have become the youngest pair to win a women’s doubles title at their first senior elite tournament.
Eighteen-year-old Mariana and 16-year-old partner Gabby beat Suzanne Rayappen and Jenny Wallwark 26-24, 14-21, 21-19 in Wimbledon to become the youngest doubles pair to win in this highest ranked senior title.
GOLF: St Clement’s Golf Club November monthly medal was won by Roy Hansford.
With a nett 59 he beat Brian Duffy II in a countback.
SQUASH: Kate Cadigan, playing at number one for the Dorset Ladies first team, won both her matches in the SRA Ladies’ Inter County League.
She came back from two sets down to win her first match against Gloucester 3-2 and took the second against Devon 3-0.
GYMNASTICS: Regent Gym Club finished third in Division III of the Hampshire County Team Challenge in Basingstoke.
Lisa Luce took first on vault with a score of 11.70 and third place on the beam; Olivia Ward took third in the vault and second in the floor.
The team had the highest floor and vault scores and also featured Charlotte Sweeney, Lisa Day, Catherine Bell and Shinarah Le Blancq.
