The ex-stripper behind hits like ‘It’s Chico Time’ and ‘CHICO’ is to make his return to Jersey after appearing here ten years ago with all-male troupe the Dreamboys.
Luminar Jersey are flying Chico over on Friday 1 December for a spectacular start to the Fête dé Noué.
Heath Abbott, senior general manager at Luminar Jersey, said: ‘Chico is popular with the youngsters, and he’s a good clean-cut celebrity, which is why we thought he’d be ideal.
Last year he was an X-Factor finalist, and he has recently picked up another award with Simon Cowell at the National Television Awards.
His first single also knocked Madonna off the top spot.
We thought that Chico would be a great choice for both the kids and the adults.’ This will be the first time that Jersey has ever invited a celebrity to turn on the Christmas lights.
