Active Group was established in Guernsey five years ago and now employs thirty staff there.
The firm also opened an Isle of Man office earlier this year.
Heading the new Jersey operation is Mark Wildman, formerly a managing director of Deutsche Bank International Ltd, and Nicola Adamson, a former director of Rathbones and currently managing director of NetworkCPD.
Mr Wildman said the desire of a Guernsey firm to expand in Jersey reflected confidence in the Island’s economy.
The new office is licensed to take on four permanent members of staff over the next three years and will also be using local expertise on a consultancy basis.
‘An increasing part of our business has come from clients who require such assistance in Guernsey, which has led us to believe that such a demand exists in other centres, not least because several of these clients are multi-jurisdictional.
This has been supported by my own preliminary conversations with firms here and I am sure this demand will increase as proposed new anti-money laundering regulations come into force in Jersey next year,’ said Mr Wildman.
