Channel Islanders going to university face higher fees from next year because they will be classed as overseas students but one of the solid decisions to come out of yesterday’s historic Ministerial talks in Guernsey is a joint campaign on the issue which will be music to many parents’ ears.
The Council of Ministers and Guernsey’s Policy Council believe they have a strong argument after the UK announced that students from overseas territories such as Cayman would escape the higher fees.
