The 38-year-old woman crashed through a skylight at around 11.30 last night just yards from an identical window through which a man fell to his death in March.
Firefighters who rescued her said that she was very lucky to be still alive after falling 12 feet on to a hard floor.
Had she fallen through the next skylight along, she would have plummeted 40 feet.
She suffered head and back injuries.
Clive Russell, a station manager at the Fire Service, said: ‘She landed on a large glass skylight.
It cracked but did not break.
She is very lucky indeed.
Had she fallen through that, she would have fallen another 12 feet.’
