Treasury Minister Terry Le Sueur reported in his Budget speech last week that increased productivity in the finance sector had helped fuel the first real growth in the Island’s economy in years.
PBS managing director Tony Le Tiec said finance and legal businesses are investing heavily in technology as it is allowing them to increase profit per employee.
He said spending is particularly high on digital devices and communications technology.
