He has written to States Members saying he remains convinced a sale will be good for the company, its customers and the Island.
However, the best form of sale is yet to be determined and will be subject to intensive work by a team of specialists.
The Minister says in the letter sent yesterday that he intends to take proposals to the States in February.
However, the proposals, say the Treasury Minister, will detail measures needed to create UK style protection of terms and conditions of employees after the sale.
‘I will provide contractual protection in the transaction documentation and seek to amend terms of Jersey Telecom employees in advance of any sale to provide direct contractual protection,’ he says.
