Both teams had a player sent off, Wanderers’ José De Freitas and Portuguese Club’s Artur Calaca for alleged violent conduct against each other in an otherwise sporting game.

Rozel were beaten 4-2 at Le Couvent by champions St Peter after two goals apiece by Gary Freeman and junior David Vitalini.
Dougie Ross bagged a hat-trick for Rozel.
Kevin Garton, Steve Hallogan and Steve Crew scored St Lawrence Reserves goals in a 3-2 Lady Bingham Trophy first-round success at home to Beeches Old Boys.

ONE Coca-Cola Combination Division II club is guaranteed a place in the semi-finals of this season’s Le Riches Cup football competition after the draw was made yesterday.
Jersey Wanderers and ‘giant-killers’ St Martin/SCF – who recently eliminated Jersey Scottish – have been paired for a quarter-final meeting at the Jersey Hockey Club on Saturday 3 February.
The other ties to be played on the same day are: St Peter v St Paul’s; St Clement v Trinity and Portuguese Club v Grouville.
The Dog Club Trophy quarter-final draw, for Reserves teams, is: Grouville v Sporting Academics; Beeches Old Boys v Rozel Rovers; St Martin/SCF v St Peter and Portuguese Club v St Ouen.
Ties will also be played on Saturday 3 February.
