Companies questioned in UK tax investigation

HM Revenue & Customs are investigating the activities of senior executives at City accountancy firm Vantis who may have used the CISX-listed companies to claim charity tax concessions worth millions of pounds on behalf of a number of celebrities, bankers and company directors, according to a report in last week’s Sunday Times.

Vantis, which is part of the HLB International group, denies any wrongdoing.
