Thank you, Customs and Immigration

From Bob Pallot.

JUST before Christmas, my family was checking in at Gatwick Airport only to be informed that our eldest daughter did not have the required minimum of three months’ expiry date on her passport to travel to New Zealand. Despite years of travelling this was news to us – ooops!

To cut a long story short, I chose to return to Jersey with her, while my wife and younger daughter travelled onwards to New Zealand.

Upon arrival in Jersey we spoke to Customs and Immigration officers at the Airport who took our details and forwarded them on to the Passport Office at Maritime House.

A new passport was issued very quickly and we were reunited as a family in New Zealand 48 hours later.

I would just like to say that the service, friendliness, efficiency and understanding that we experienced was second to none, and that as a team they helped turn a disastrous start to a long-planned family holiday into a minor inconvenience.

Thanks to all the team at Customs and Immigration.
