VETERAN rockers Status Quo will return to Jersey this summer for a gig to celebrate more than 40 years in the music business.
Rick Parfitt, Francis Rossi et al will perform in Howard Davis Park on Friday 10 July. The performance comes less than a month before the rockers play Glastonbury on 8 August.
Status Quo are being brought to the Island by Dick Ray, from Jersey International Leisure Activities, who is also responsible for bringing James Morrison to the Island in April.
The Quo have recorded 64 British hit singles beginning with Pictures of Matchstick Men in 1968. Last year, the group teamed up with German band Scooter to record a new version of their 1979 single Whatever You Want and last month they released their 75th single and first ever Christmas single titled It’s Christmas Time.
