He has been invited to Jersey by the local branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He will deliver the ‘marketing masterclass’ on Monday at the Grand hotel.
Dr Fifield said: ‘The recession we are entering now is not going to be like the last one. This time normal service will not be resumed when the bad times finish and the marketing strategies we have developed over the last thirty years are not going to be enough to drive recovery.
‘This masterclass is about discovering how marketing strategy must evolve to enable organisations to not only survive but to thrive in the post-recession world.’
