CHILDREN have been learning about the Ice Age at the Jersey Museum this week.

The event, part of the Jersey Heritage Flash Days programme, has given them plenty to do, including making sabre-tooth tiger masks, face-painting and following an adventure trail to find hidden drawings.

Children have also been having fun recreating cave and prehistoric art while learning the meanings behind some of the ancient drawings and where in the world they would be found.

Event organiser Carmella Knight said: ‘The Flash week is a great chance for children and their families to enjoy a fun-filled day, and everyone’s welcome to join in the fun. There is a lot to do and everything has been designed to show the skills of Palaeolithic (Old Stone Age) craftsmen.’
