FURIOUS parents claim the honorary police are causing chaos after they banned them from parking on Wellington Road when collecting their children from school.
Three honorary officers patrolled the S-bend outside De La Salle school from about 2.15 pm yesterday to prevent parents from stopping on the road which is usually lined with parked cars.
Centenier Louise Noel said that they were forced to take action following numerous complaints about road
safety. Friday’s JEP reported that the police would move motorists on this week.
But many parents claim that the move has made it almost impossible for them to park near the school, and said that it will only create more traffic problems further down the hill. The honorary police say they will continue to patrol the area on a regular basis.
