From June Le Gros.
THE picture of flooding at Goose Green Marsh reminds me of more than 40 years ago when we moved to our present address and watched seabirds, ducks etc settle on the surface water of Le Marais Marsh.
Now, with all the building and rebuilding in that area, with its surrounding paving and lack of trees, we residents of part of Clos de la Mare find our gardens literally under water (what is this doing to our foundations?).
Most of our former established bushes and plants have rotted, and where we were able to grow our own vegetables, this is now impossible. Even the grassed area is like a swamp.
