Walker v Paxman: I would be there

From David Eves.

SO former Senator Frank Walker was a victim of editorial manipulation over the Haut de la Garenne child abuse inquiry. Poor Frank! In his long association with the Jersey Evening Post I presume he never ratified such conduct. And presumably he is the first person in the history of journalism to suffer such a fate.

Why doesn’t he sue the BBC? They say he has the funds. Can you imagine it? Walker versus Jeremy Paxman in the courtroom . . . I would decamp to London for a couple of weeks to listen to the case. It would be great entertainment.

Instead of reams of argument, wild talk, innuendo and accusations over the credentials or otherwise of Walker, Syvret and Harper in this sordid affair, it is about time that the approximately 140 people who complained about the outrageous conduct perpetrated by about 70 culprits had their cases brought into the public arena.

Or is this another cover-up in the making . . . the mother of all Jersey cover-ups?
