THE Water’s Edge Hotel in Bouley Bay has been taken over by three hoteliers.
Father and son team Robyn and Rory Lapidus, directors of Channel Hotels and Leisure Ltd, and David Lord have joined forces to take over the hotel, which is open for business. The hotel will be managed day to day by Deborah Flynn, who has worked for Channel Hotels since 2003 and has worked at the L’Hermitage Hotel, Hotel de Normandie and The Mountview Hotel.
Robyn Lapidus formed Channel Hotels and Leisure Limited in the early 80s and his son Rory has been based in Jersey since taking over the L’Hermitage Hotel in 2003 before becoming a director of Channel Hotels. Mr Lord came to the Island in 1977 and was involved with the opening of Caesar’s Palace nightspot in Grève de Lecq. He also ran the Highfield Hotel for 20 years from 1986 and was managing director of the hotel.
