AN accident black spot should become safer this week when a trial one-way system is introduced.
A 50-yard section of Old Mont Cochon has been made one-way in a northerly direction, 30 yards from its junction with Mont Cochon. The change will remain in place for the next 12 months. Motorists are advised to drive carefully.
John Stievenard, Town Hall assistant director, said: ‘We agreed to improve traffic safety following a number of letters from residents who said that pets had been killed on the road and there had been a lot of near misses.’
