IT may be doom and gloom on the high street but the farming industry is starting its annual seasonal recruitment drive.
Forty new seasonal jobs are being created in the potato packing business. Albert Bartlett and Sons Jersey Ltd are looking for 40 staff at their new £10m warehouse in Trinity.
The jobs – likely to run from April until July – are mostly at the minimum wage, although some higher-paid positions are available. The range of jobs will be advertised soon.
General manager Tim Ward said that they were looking for line operators, forklift drivers, supervisors and some office staff.
